Hello, my name is Justin Brown and I am a graduate student at the CUNY-Graduate Center. I am conducting a study of Black Men who have Sex with Men (MSM). I am interested in perceived stress and how it affects identity with the hope to help the public learn more about what it means to be a Black MSM in the United States today as well as show researchers the importance of looking at issues specific to this subculture within society. You must be 18 years of age to participate. If you would like to take part in the study, the process is really easy. All you have to do is logon to https://www.psychdata.com/s.asp?SID=124203 . You will read a consent form explaining the study and your rights as a participant, which include your anonymity. Next, you will answer a series of questions about yourself, your friends, and your family. After that, you will complete a word association task followed by a few open-ended questions. You have the option to skip any questions that make you uncomfortable and to stop participation at any time. You should feel free to answer honestly because your answers will not go beyond my advisor and me. The entire questionnaire should take approximately an hour to complete and you have the chance to enter a lottery for an opportunity to win 1 of 10, $20 online gift certificates or the grand prize of a $100 online gift certificate. If you know of other guys that may want to participate give them the web address and information about the study. Thanks for reading. |
